Diesel fuel is mainly composed of various hydrocarbons. Long-chain hydrocarbons can be broken down into short-chain hydrocarbons to a certain extent. When the fuel temperature drops, long-chain hydrocarbons will precipitate into solids and clog the filter. In this case, the precipitated solids in low-temperature fuel must be reliquefied. Therefore, the fuel needs to be heated appropriately to prevent further precipitation before entering the engine.
The LKH fuel heater is used to preheat the fuel system and is activated at low temperatures thus ensures problem-free starting process even at very low temperatures. As a modular component, LKH can be used in addition to a SEPAR fuel filter or also as an individual stand-alone solution.
